Awesome review. Whar are the dimensions? I am Pearl lover for the form factor, so not sure if I can make the jump to a larger device.

Does anyone think this will be out for CDMA and GSM? Or just GSM?

As usual, GSM first, CDMA to follow about a year later. Its the curse of CDMA, I know, I used to be on Sprint.

Did everyone see "property of research in motion" sign in the picture which shows the area under the battery? So should Kevin be aware this might cause any legal action against him? Don't want to see one of my favorite sites getting in trouble because of this =(

I saw it and chuckled. While its cool to see stuff on the 9000 series ... if I had one I certainly wouldn't post pictures of it and my name on the Interweb.

Hopefully it will be out come September when I switch from VZW to AT&T. My 8703e is beginning to have trackwheel problems.

i love my pearl, but im ready for the 9000. unfortunately, i will have to wait for the CDMA to be released. However, by that time my contract will probably be up so i can get it for less with a new contract!

On a related note, intomobile.com is reporting that the eBay auction for the 9000 was indeed real. The owner is apparently thrilled with his $828 purchase. I for one am encouraged by the final price of that auction. If $828 is the typical over-inflated eBay price for an unreleased device then perhaps the official release will be at a much more reasonable cost.

The 9000 is nice, but I wish it was a little smaller.

Me too, and a little less uglier , it looks waaaaaaaaaaay too much like a iPhonesque device, something RIM needs to realize that they DO NOT need to do. They can stand on their own. I own a iPhone and I am drooling over the new 8330 which is proof positive that they need not follow the other manufacturers and try and follow apple's lead.

At this point RIM is getting all of the good press and buzz they could want regarding the BB9000 and going after a site that legally purchased the item without knowledge it was allegedly the "property of RIM". If RIM wants negative press they can certainly go after him or just refund the cash and go after the seller.

Anyone ever thought that those 9000 were planted there by RIM knowing what would happen when it hit the net? RIM could be testing the waters and be able to deny any knowledge of the leak. Could be a market research tool. OK OK so I watch too many spy movies but hey maybe.

In a word... what? how could the seller/buyer NOT know it was property of RIM. Who the heck else would it belong to?
