"Inspire - as colour and clarity come to life on its brilliant HVGA display (640 X 240 pixels)."

Reminds me of when they said the Pearl had an external MicroSD slot...Rogers is so terrible at this stuff...

Being the first 3G Rogers device, I would hope Rogers reprices the BlackBerry plans.

25MB for $60? On 3G? With a better, more graphical web browser? Hah.

You gotta get the $100 plan for 1GB.

There are rumors of new BlackBerry plans, that Ozzy posted on howardforums, but I think got delayed until BlackBerry 9000 launch time. Let's hope they come to frutition. I can't remember exact numbers but it resembled something like: Up to 30MB for only $30. Up to 100MB for $50. Up to 1GB for $80 (or was that 500MB for $65?). Still expensive but an improvement.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

last year, when the 8300 was launched at&t had it about a week earlier

so regardless of exact date, dont expect huge delays. this is a big deal for both rogers and RIM

Rogers June launches: BlackBerry Bold, HTC Shift, ROKR E8, and more
Posted in: BG's Corner, BlackBerry, Exclusives, HTC, Handsets, Motorola, Rogers, Rumors

One of Roger ninjas hit us up to give us the breakdown of mobile device launches for the month of June. It’s a pretty impressive line-up if you ask us. As usual, dates do change, but this is what we got so far:

BlackBerry Bold launch time frame is June 9th-29th. (we don’t have an exact date just yet)
The HTC Shift will launch on Rogers within the next 10 days. Rumored date is May 22nd, and it’s going for $1,500 on a 3-year agreement.
The Motorola E8 will be making the trek up north for a June launch. No specific launch date or pricing info yet.
The Motorola ROKR U9 which as we’re told was supposed to be launched in May, will now be launched in June on Fido.
Motorola’s W755r (same exact model AT&T has) will also be coming to Rogers in June.
We’ve also been told Rogers will not be getting the BlackBerry 8320. They are sticking to the BlackBerry 8120 and BlackBerry 8820 for their UMA action.
I think we’ve about covered it for now. Also, the BlackBerry Bold date seems a tad early, so we’d guess it would be launched towards the tail-end of that timeframe. AT&T should either launch before that date, or soon after as we can’t imagine Rogers getting it first. But that’s our own prediction and not based off actual AT&T internal information. Who’s excited out there

Hockey? Man you must be a Leaf's fan ... because we got our ARSES kicked in the nationals vs Russia.

As usual another great BlackBerry device is coming to Robbers and still the same crappy BlackBerry data plans don't seem to be changing! Having a 3G BlackBerry will be great for web surfing as EDGE speeds aren't the best but you'd think they'd change their data rates already. I'm sure when Robbers releases the iPhone data rates will come down but as usual BlackBerry users will get the short end of the stick. Maybe that'll change... who knows!

no one knows for sure, but whomever releases it first, the other wont be far away... meaning if Rogers releases it mid june, AT&T will probably release it a week or two later, and vice versa

Spoke with another contact at Rogers today and he said that it could possibly be pushed back to the end of the summer or later now; after all the US carriers release it. No one seems to know what is really going on with releae dates by the sound of it.

I hope yer right! LOL. The guy said though that they never release a device until the store has received posters and literature at least 30 days prior to release (Rogers marketing rule). That being said, the stores have not received anything and not even a word on when they will. That is why I kinda tend to believe him. He said they pushed the release date back....who knows why....
