Wirelessly posted (**Dark Blue 8800**)

Has anyone heard anything about a launch party for the 9000 or the 9100?

I prefer the launch party as they provide the toys. The 8800 party was awesome. Although my 8800 has ben replaced I love the laquer box.

With no corporate connection, I'm on the outside looking in with these launch parties.

I thought they did have a Curve launch party - T-Mobile?

Most likely the Bold, if it gets a launch party will have all sorts of celebrities to smooze with. Wonder how they feel with fans trying to start up a conversation with them.

Looking for that perfect signature, hmm.

Any more news on the Launch Party? What about specific launch date? I know they usually coincide.

Launch devices are normally not going to be covered by your carrier. I honestly don't know what kind of warranty they have--one year is normal for RIM devices.

T-Mobile had one or two launch parties, where some attendees received free devices. At the same time, they had launch breakfasts for corporate accounts in various major metro cities, where every attendee received free devices.

The expectation is that AT&T will have a launch tour for corporate accounts, once again.

Oddly, tmobile gave the unlock code for the phone... It was Tmobile launch party and the phones are branded tmobile. How in the world do I get it replace by RIM??

Id say your just out of luck most likely. Send an email to RIM and see what they tell you.
