is all this on ebay,

ebay search 'blackberry bold' and its funny that all u find is emails and domains sales?

I think its historical that people want $80-$200 for a name like [email address], when someone could of easily done that themselves....

And the domains.. $10,000 for a domain name? rediculous.. i'll just no-ip my computer for $10/mo that comes with free domain. haha lammme...

Why is it funny? The Bold is not available. The ones on eBay earlier were basically stolen property.

And I think you mean hysterical (not historical.)

And $10,000 for a domain name might sound ridiculous to you but to a domain name can be quite important for a business.

Wirelessly posted (@ 72 mph)

Yeah 10 grand for a good domain name is pretty cheap compared to the potential to make millions from it!

What you are seeing on eBay is the free market system working wute well. Nothing unusual!

That's why i got a couple 3G iPhone related domains. The profit from that will pay for my shiny new Bold. Irony at it's finest.

This cr^p is the reason RIM names their phones. The model numbers can't be hidden because of the FCC but you can bet RIM does not call it the Bold till they have their unique name locked down as their URL.

I was planning on using the domain name but it's just too much work for me right now. Too many projects on my plate. I didn't to it to be an a**

Also, if you purchase a domain with the specific intent to try and sell it back to the parent company for an absurd amount of money, the parent company can file an injunction and get awarded the domain. Just some food for thought.

So if someone bought BlackBerryBold.com, and then tried to sell it to RIM for $ 1,000,000. They can take it court and get it awarded to them for $ 0.00. Then your out that $ 6.95 from GoDaddy.
