Default The Bold's Browser? - 07-17-2008, 12:03 AM

Been looking at the Bold and the iPhone for awhile now and it seems the only thing holding me back from making a decision is the browser. The iPhone has an awesome browser that opens new windows etc which is the type of feature I really want for certain forums I visit open up the reply screen in a new window.

Does the Bold's browser have the option to open up new windows/tabs? Opera Mini doesn't support it and not sure it ever will. I do a lot of browsing when work is slow or whatnot and right now my 8100 Pearl with Opera Mini just isn't cutting it.

If the browser is THAT important to you, the Bold may not be the right device. From all I have read the iPhone is superior to the Bold when it come to the Browser. Who really knows as none of us have seen the final version on the Bold but I have used the iPhone browser and it will be hard to beat!

The bolds browser, if you've used any other BB's browser, will be a big step up I'd imagine. Least I'd hope.

I always expect my cell browser to act like my computer at home and if it's not fast I get fed up and just cannot even cope or be bothered! I wish it wasn't the case, so in that regard I feel what you're saying.

I doubt the bolds browser will have windows/tabs.

I'm sure I'll be happy with it (bold browser) in contrast to whats on my curve (my fav phone thus far) but I don't see why they don't just make the browser top notch since everything else about BB blows most other phone out the water.

I don't have a problem with the speed but that old browser is ancient. With RIM making cutting edge new phones you'd think they would know that people browse the web more than ever. And would like more options, tools, etc in a more up to date browser.

I personally like the blackberry better than the iPhone. But still wish it had a superior browser especially if you offer the phone with 3G and wifi.

Boygenius talks about the browser a little here:
