The dimensions of the Bold are: 4.5 x 2.6 x 0.5 (114 x 66 x 23 mm) It's roughly the same size as the 8800.

Wirelessly posted

Agh!! I'm on wap so I can't post the pic I took of the Orange Bold dummy phone and the emerald black curve side by side! Its not an exact alignment as I didn't take it to compare sizes, me and my bbm pal were in a race to see who got to hold the Orange Bold first & I won lol :D

If you pm me your email address I can send it you you as the pic is on my BB.

It is bigger than the Curve, about the same size as my 8820!

Thanks for posting the size specs. Still using my 8700 and love its bulletproof design. Thinking of going for the Bold, but do not want to have to replace all my accessories (cases, car holders etc.). Its slightly thinner and less wide than the 8700, but .02 longer. Guess I will just have to wait until it is out and bring all my junk into the AT&T store and try it our on an actual demo.

Awesome.. Thanks alot!! I can't wait. I loved my 8800, but liked to have a camera for those goofy moments my dog would have. That Black Emerald Curve looks sweet though. Especially if you replaced it with an 8330 keyboard so it would be all black...

Man, if I can only get used to a bigger device and a full QWERTY keyboard. I am a Pearl lover

In my hand, the BlackBerry Bold definitely felt smaller than the 8830...

The curved edges and the curved bottom does the trick.
It's like the iPhone 3G is bigger than the original iPhone, but the sleight of hand caused by the curves, make the 3G feel smaller.

It's just the maximum length, width, and thickness made it similiar to 8830, but the 8830 was a 'boxy' BlackBerry with pretty much 6 sides. The BlackBerry Bold is more similiar to a bar of soap. Not as curvy as iPhone though.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

Guess I'd have to get one in hand to be sure. I hated the way the 8830 looked and felt when I used it.
