If I get a Bold from Rogers in Canada, do I need to just get it unlocked to work with AT&T or do they use different frequencies or anything? Will everything (3G) function the same? I always see 'unlocked' phones mention being able to be used on AT&T, rogers, fido, etc., but just want to make sure.

you can use a rogers phone, you need to unlock it, Rogers runs on a quad band GSM Network , and the full 3G spectrum as well, Rogers phone have all the networks capable of working world wide.

I do believe Rogers and ATT use the same 3G frequencies. Tmo is the odd man out.

This will mean that there will be Bold units from Rogers on eBat as soon as they are released.

Now another question as well....what do you think the demand will be for these ie do you think there will be lines and whatnot? I have some canadian friends that are going to Rogers to buy me a couple.

The demand in Canada will not be even close to the iPhone in the US if that's what you're asking. If they do not come up with one for you in Canada expect to pay a pretty penny for one on eBay. Prices on eBay should be around the prices for iPhone 3G's are going for.
