This one cracked me up. "Not for Sale or Lease"

I would pay a $1000 for one in the USA, but not to fond of sending my funds to overseas.

Anyone got a working Bold, email me!

What do you guys predict the going rate for these things will be on Ebay once Rogers releases them? (Assuming they follow the 8800 pricepoint of $599CAN with no contract)

$1000, $1500? I have family in Canada, so I'm getting one for sure.....just wondering if I should buy a few more to unlock and turn for a profit....

Sith_Apprentice 07-28-2008 02:44 PM

The going price should be well above that I am sure. If it follows the European pricing we have seen, no contract with be around $800.

bigwillokc 07-28-2008 02:52 PM

Sith, will they be able to be unlocked the moment they are released or will someone have to figure out how? I assume its based on the OS, so it should be easy, correct?

Sith_Apprentice 07-28-2008 02:54 PM

Its not locked by the OS. The PIN will be disabled (what happened with Kevin from CB) and you will no longer be able to activate BES/BIS on the device.

Sorry, I was actually referring to the units available from Rogers when they are released when I asked about unlocking them....

Sith_Apprentice 07-28-2008 03:36 PM

Oh, yes they can be unlocked via the usual methods. Horizon, the guys in my sig have unlocked a couple already.
