Bold infro from Aus (Telstra)

About Telstra - Media Centre - Announcement - BlackBerry Bold on Next G(TM) - the most powerful BlackBerry ever

seems Telstra were the first to get the device rolling out!

is the device out or was it just given to someone? I cant really tell from the article. BlackBerryNews.com has an article on Telstra releasing September sometime.

Ever heard of a soft launch? to VIP type customers?

Australia due to its mass are relying on the new network to provide coverage and data to those that require it... flying doctors for instance..

this has been launched, just because a standard buyer cant buy one doesnt mean it isnt out there...

extract from the article:

"Nigel, Congratulations. You are the first regional business customer to get the long-awaited Blackberry Bold - taking advantage of the world's most popular PDA on Australia's largest and fastest 3G network, Next Gxxx8482;, available to 99 per cent of the Australian population. Trust you enjoy the experience. Sol"

Edit -please can you correct the spelling of the title, if not put it back to what I created it as...

Celebs have had the 9000 for weeks now. That was a link to the Telstra business site. Just because one person got it, doesnt make it a launch. Also, it is unlikely he will enjoy with the current OS's out there. :-?
