Default I ordered a Bold in Switzerland

Please Login to Remove!

Digitec.ch is offering a preorder while saying that they'll deliver it in the end of august.. think i'll do that right now. I ordered there before and these guys are trustworthy.. let's see when i'll have my bold in my fingers.

Updates will follow on my blog on forall.ch .

Why would you preorder it there if you can get the device for less in Germany (460 Euro instead of 500 Euro)? It shouldn't be that difficult to find someone in Germany who sends you the device to the US Or is this just hidden advertisement for your own shop?

well, since i'm swiss i'd prefer to buy it in switzerland but 500 euros is about the same as 800 franks - no cheaper in germany then. best way ist contract extension, makes it about 150 euros cheaper.. we'll see

btw, owning that shop would make me buying at leas t 10% of RIM

I thought you were from the US. The Bold is cheaper in Germany. In Germany the device costs 460 Euro, in Swiss it is 500 Euro/800 CHF. I just had converted the 799 CHF from the online shop to 500 Euro

It'll be cheaper with a contract, for sure. Here in Spain it'll be a lot cheaper. I'll let you all know how much it will be in less than a month. hehe.

Please keep me updated !

I'll visit my wife's family next weekend in northern Switzerland, near Zurich, and plan to go several times to Germany (Konstanz, eg.).

I already know T-Mobile offer to be a little cheaper than our own Vodafone or TIM (both carriers will have Bold available very soon, maybe 3 and Wind too, later).

My only concern is the QZERTY kb I'm not accustomed to, but it wouldn't be a major problem if the BBB comes home at that price without any contract.
In fact, our national carriers will probably (shame !) sell them at full price ONLY bundled with - usually - a two year deal.

Regards,
Pipppetto

sure, i'll give u news as soon as i get my offer from the shop..
btw toppreise .ch lets you compare prices for different stores.. online shops are quite cheaper than the normal one..

if you're buying the device in german-speaking switzerland, you'll get the QWERTZ-keyboard, only Y and Z and some special chars are different to the english keyboard.. not that difficult i think
