I have been waiting a long long time for SlingPlayer to start working on the Blackberry. They keep on saying that is on its way, but when, there are taking longer than the Bold to be released.
Considering that Slingplayer 2.0 has just entered public Beta phase, I'd imagine within the next month or two we might see it appear in Beta testing. Both Slingplayer 2.0 and Slingplayer Mobile for BlackBerry were demoed at the same time, hence the assumption.
Yes, you can watch TV while the slingbox is playing. However, the person watching the slingbox can change the channel, too. Its best to connect it to a separate box.
maybe someone can answer this...can you watch slingbox if someone is watching TV on the cable box? My thought is no....
Doesn't do me much good to get it on my BB if the kids have hijacked the set top box.
Nope. The only other option is to use a splitter at the source and connect both independently, though you won't be able to view HD channels this way as the tuner is analog.
if you are watching cable on the slingbox, you will be able to change channels without interfering with the tv at home, if you are watching digital cable or satelite and you change channels on the slingbox, it will also change the channels at home at the same time. the good thing about it is that you can keep an eye on what the fanily is watching at home while you are away.
