Default Using Bold(Orange UK) as a laptop modem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I have followed the instructions from Blackberry for setting up my phone as a modem. I am using +cgdcont=1,"IP","orangeinternet", username: USE & password: PASS - as per instruction from Orange

I am an Orange UK customer & use windows Vista.

The problem is when I query the modem. I get this:

ATQ0V1E0 - Success
AT+GMM - RIM Blackberry Device 84000e07
AT+FCLASS=? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
AT#CLS=? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
AT+GCI? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
AT+GCI=? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
ATI1 - Research In Motion / BlackBerry IPmodem
ATI2 - Research In Motion / BlackBerry IPmodem

The problem is obviously the COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED part. Any ideas why??

Thanks

The message is OK. You should still be able to use the Modem functionality.

Hi

Finally got it working but only after downloading and reinstalling desktop v4.6. After reinstall it worked first time. The version of the software that came on the CD must be out of date - although I did click the check for update link on the desktop manager.
