Heres a short list of Updates and Enhancements that i've noticed while using the bold for the past 2 days.


General Updates
• Password is no longer access through security settings and has its section under options
• Options>password


• Delete/Uninstall Apps from their icon, VS. Advanced options>applications> uninstall


• Downloaded apps are automatically saved in the “downloads” folder rather than anywhere on the home screen. (as per older OS releases)


• Screen Size Clock appears whenever USB/ Charger is connected
• ability to edit/set alarm from this screen


• “bedside mode” for alarm


• Stop watch
• Timer


BB messenger Updates:

• Broadcast message, sends one message to all your messenger contacts. i.e. make an announcement “party @ my house 8pm, RSVP ASAP”- GREAT FEATURE!!
•Forward Contact- ability to forward one contact to the other through BB messenger(shown below)


• Custom status: I believe this was available on some CDMA OS releases already but its new to GSM builds(or just new to me) and seems to be a more interactive way to communicate your availability.



BB messenger Options:
• Allow on the phone presence status
• Allow now playing status- i.e: MSN style “now playing: NAS- Hero” beside your contact name
(unable to grab screen shot, as i dont have 2 BOLD's to demonstrate)

Another difference with the 4.6 OS is with the spell check option, the device can now be set to check words as you type and misspelled words will be underlined. Previous OS versions did not have this option.
