So, unboxed my shiny new Bold this evening, updated the OS, and proceeded to gloat to my envious buddies about my acquisition. Go to reply to a message, and it no longer displays the previous few messages. What's the deal? Is there an option I'm not aware of? Is that theme controlled? Anyone?

In previous OS' it is in Options > SMS Text > Number Of Previous Items:

Yeah mine has the same problem as well - the 'number of previous items' doesn't affect it.

Strange, I'm running the latest post OS (from the forum) and I'm getting the previous items displayed.

They're right there on the read, but on the reply, I have to scroll down to see them.

Works ok for me. When I read an incoming message I see the thread. Hit 'R' and I get a whole screen to compose the reply - but as Flare 3 says, the previous is there if you scroll down....

Well, I think we can chalk that one down as an OS oops! Come on RIM, I need to see previous messages without scrolling down!

Depending on the length of the messages, i can see 3 or 4 messages without scrolling down.

Even when replying? I think everyone is ok here reading the SMS threads, but when you go to reply you have to scroll way down as it thinks you are about to write an essay
