Default What is the best Browzr for the BOLD?

Please Login to Remove!

I know there is Blackberry, Internet Explorer, Firefox choices on the BOLD, but which is the best. And are there any other choices that we can download, How about Opera / Opera Mini ?

Thanks in advance.

Since I don't have a bold yet I have no idea about the current options but Google who just came out with a p.c. web browser claims to be releasing a blackberry one too. The release date remains unknown but it sounds like the one to have.

Those choices don't change how the browser works for you directly. They spoof the website you're browsing on to recognize your browser as the selected choice. Some sites, if they detect you're a Blackberry, will serve up the mobile-optimized page. If you would rather have the website serve you the full version, make it think you're a PC with Firefox or IE.

Funny, mine never offered a choice. Just select the nearest model.

Opera Mini is great in that it's really fast. The only issue with it is that the UI takes a bit of getting used to. For example, if you click on a text box to type in, it takes you to a new open page to type the text and once you hit "OK" it populates the text box. Not the biggest deal in the world but took some getting used to.

It is fast and extremely reliable though.

I've downloaded Opera Mini as I just have a generic data plan, so can't use the BB browser. I've transferred it to the phone, as per the Opera site, but how do I install it? I can't even find it on the Bold, though my laptop knows exactly where it is!

I would have moved it to 'Downloads' but, though that appears as a folder on the Bold, it isn't visible (as a folder by that name) to my laptop.
