Unhappy Who makes wired boom headset for the Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

Am anxiously awaiting the release of Bold in US. Having tried a Moto Q9h for about 8 hours...uggh (poor battery life), which also uses a 3.5mm jack, I found that I can not find a quality mobil phone headset. Today I use the Plantronics MX505 on my 8800 with 2.5mm. I have yet to find a Bluetooth that matches a wired headset...but who makes a quality wired headset for the 3.5mm phone?

Default Anyone find a wired boom headset for Bold?

I used a plantronics boom mike on my 8800 cause it had 2.5 mm jack. now the bold has 3.5mm jack. no converter from 3.5 phone to 2.5 headset.. they all go the other direction... 2.5mm phone to 3.5mm headset.

AFAIK there are none.

The absolute best BT headsets for sound quality are:

Sony HBH-300 (an antique now, but had tremendous SQ)
Plantronics Voyager 510 (cheap, $40-50)
Sennheiser BW900 (big and expensive, but it works with wired phones too)

Others like the Blue Ant Z9, Motorola h15, Jawbone 1 and 2 all offer great SQ for their size, but sacrifice some sound quality for a small and compact size.

I agree with Bryan on the HBH-300, it was excellent. I'm using the H15 now and it is probably the second best I've used.

For wired, try Shure and look at the QuietSpot and this adapter MPA-3C.
