When I lived in Canada, I was a rogers paygo customer, I had my unlocked Moto V600 from Orange UK, I went in store to buy some credit, and the store guy was amazed I got the phone free on a 12 month contract over here! lol

18month is the norm over here now, but some of the UK networks now offer 24 month deals.

you can still get a blackberry on a 12 from orange uk to ;)

Does Vodafone sell unlocked ones without contract ? (as Vodafone Italy usually does)

In that case, what's the price ?
Here (Italy) we can buy 8300's @399 and 8100's @299 - full price if you don't want a contract; Wind has the same too.

A friend of mine spotted unlocked/no carrier branding Bolds at Frankfurt airport, but they were about 100 euros more than full recommended price; no big deal.
