Is there any way to make the Bold automatically switch back to the Internet (Mobile Network) browser when WiFi isn't available?

I have my Bold set to use the HotSpot Browser by default, but as soon as I leave a WiFi zone, I have to go back into options and set my default back to Internet Browser for it to work again. Not doing so gives the error message "This is a WiFi service, blah, blah, etc."

Am I going about this the wrong way, or this this just an annoyance that they can address in a future software revision?

If you set your default browser to Internet Browser, it should use wifi automatically when available.

It doesn't. I verified this by going to WhatIsMyIP.com while trying what you suggested, and I see the IP address of the Rogers Mobile Network. Not my WAN (WiFi) external address.

For me this is a real weakness in RIM's WiFi functionality. I had an iphone for a few days (didn't like it for other reasons), and its WiFi functionality is almost seamless compared to this.

You could set two bookmarks - one uses internet browser and one hotspot browser. then when you go to internet just choose the bookmark that fits your situation and use the page as your start page e.g. google or something
