Did you have any 3rd party apps installed on it?
have you tried to boot it in safe mode?

I would suggest its an issue with one of those apps, if you hold down the back key whilst the device boots should kick u into safe mode..
otherwise just remove your extra apps.. try the device and add them one at a time until you have an issue.
