Default Correct Operating System

Please Login to Remove!

If At & T does release the Bold over the next 2 weeks is there a version of the operating system I should be sure is loaded before I buy it. Thanks

IF AT&T releases the Bold as and when it does, it will probably contain a version that is newer than the one that is out presently if not the same. That said, given the publicity around testing the Bold the OS they put on it will be stable so there should not be a need to upgrade it immediately at least. Plus you will be voiding your warranty so I would wait a few days before upgrading to whatever is available at that time.

IMHO AT&T will release the Bold with an older version of the OS. No one has every proven that changing the OS voids the warranty.

Given that Orange (UK) has stopped selling the Bold due to software problems, I personally would put the latest publicly released version of the OS on my Bold. I am not getting a Bold.

So now you have two totally opposite opinions
