i just bought BB Bold for less than a week and running on v.4.6.0.125 (platform 4.0.0.134)
so far i dont have any major issues except for:
- the battery life time but i fix it by switching off the 3g service..the result is still 75% after whole day used
- my sometimes it reset itself..likes once a day

is it really necessary to upgrade for newer version likes 292/162 or 268/147???
can it solve the those issues above (especially point no.2)?

does anyone knows what the newer version advantages and is it compulsory to upgrade it?

It definately fixes the battery issues in a huge way, and could very well resolve the rest issues for you as well.

I got my Bold last week, and before doing anything besides migrating from my 8310 Curve to the 9000 I did the OS upgrade to 162 and have not had battery or reset issues at all.

It is a very simple process and has been formally released by many providers so I would definately go ahead and upgrade.

Just use the sticky thread at the top of the forum and it will walk you through the simple upgrade process.

is it have the feature of backup while you are upgrading to keep restore the data after the upgrade?????

It will automatically backup ALL data before the upgrade and restore it afterwards for you.

after few days..using this os
i found that some incoming calls does not show contact id on screen from my contact list even i have already saved it in my phone..

any suggestion???
