Default Upgrading OS for Unlocked Rogers Bold

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone knows if when you upgrade to the new OS for the unlocked Rogers Bold it will lock the device again? Please let me know because I have heard so many great things about upgrading the OS for the Bold that I am very interested in doing it, but I do not want my BOLD locked again.

Welcome to the forums.

Once a device is unlocked, it is unlocked. No locking it again!

Sure can. I recommend simply using the link at the top of this forum for the 9000. It's up to date.

The OS has changed to the AT&T version instead of Rogers. As long as you delete the Vendor XML file you'll be fine.

I can confirm that a unlocked BB will stay unlocked.
AT&T user on a rogers bold. Just upgraded to .167 for AT&T.
See my post in the updated OS Sticky.
