In the past couple of days I've taken delivery of a Blackberry 9000 Bold.

It looks good, but is nowhere near as easy as my old Nokia N73 to use.

A few questions:

1. How do I change the default tone when I receive a SMS?

2. Volume of the ring tone?

3. Can I set up different Profiles for different occasions, e.g. silent, at home etc?

4. Time screen stays alight before it goes into standby mode?

5. When I go to my SMS messages, it lists all the sent and received in a long list. Is it possible to have them so I can seperate them, e.g. Inbox, Outbox, Sent etc?

6. I've got my Calendar imported from Outlook, is is possible for today's appointments to appear on my Home screen?
I can do this no problem with Nokia N73.

7. When I have old missed calls, received calls etc, where can I find a log of these?

You should really check out the Blackberry FAQ- tons of info there. Also use the search button of this forum- most Qs can be Answered that way.

#4: I do not understand the question- sorry

For #5: (found this by searching "sms" in the search area of this forum)They are available to view in seperated folders, you can find them by: menu > view folder > outbox.
or in messages hit alt +i for inbox, alt+o for outbox on a full qwerty keyboard
alt + ui for inbox on suretype.

For #6 go to Options>Theme and choose a "Today" theme.

Seriously - play around a bit. I'll bet you used your Nokia for years and knew your way around.
