Default Does gmail mobile donwload attachments?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello users of the fantastic Blackberry!!!!!

I am starting to use GMAIL Mobile on my Blackberry Bold.

Because my data plan is limited I would like to try to not use data for unecessary downloads eg: attachements of 3-4mb of photos or ads.

I mean if someone sent me some junk mail or an email that I already had seen the attachment before or didnt want to see the attachment for any reason.

I like gmail mobile as it allows you to read your email offline but does gmail mobile also download your attachements when you send/recieve? or only when you select an attachment to read after the email has downloaded onto your BB.

Do i make sense?

Hmm. Gmail mobie allows you to view attachements at least images. So it downloads some portion to your handheld. Sending your email through a bis and downloading through the bis at least using os 4.5 seems to download the full attachmentms. No longer a crummy resized one. Been downloading 3meg+ pictures and saving to my memory card. I haven't done much in the ways of expermenting but I would say gmail mobile down loads a re-sized portion/shrunk version, I will investigate further though
