Default edge won't go to EDGE...help please

Please Login to Remove!

I'm using a Rogers Bold. I've been using it on T-Mobile in the U.S. I also use BES. It's been working great, although no 3G and they have it in my area. I downloaded the latest from ATT yesterday (147). I removed the line I was suppposed to.

Now I can't get it to go to EDGE (it stays on edge) so I can hook back up to my BES and download everything.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try a battery pull. If that doesn't work go to Options > Advanced Options > host routing table > Menu key > register now.

Default looks like it's connecting to BES

but it still stays on edge not EDGE. So it's hooking up to BES now, but still won't upgrade to EDGE.

Have you tried soft reset? Alt-Right Shift - DEL? Otherwise, you'd need to call your service provider. If your device won't go to EDGE, then your ISP is not recognizing your device.

One other thing you can try is to force registration with the network. Go to Options|Advanced Options|Host Routing Table|Register Now. That may force the network to recognize you...

Sorry - just saw more of the thread. No entries at all - and you sound like you're on a BES.

With your computer connected inside your firewall, can you tether your BB, and run the Desktop Manager? For me, that usually triggers Enterprise Activation. You can also do Enterprise Activation over the air, but that requires a password. At my company that password is not distributed. But if you do a wired connection, and Desktop Manager can get to your e-mail, then the enterprise activation happens automatically. That's probably a result of some setting on the BES server, but that works for me, and something you can try...

I did connect OTA, had them reset it for me, and it has activated. I guess I'll call T-Mobile now and have them "recognize it".
Thanks

It was T-Mobile's deal. Thanks for the Tips, and sorry to waste anyone's time.
