Default Customs issues when importing bold from Canada to US?

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a Rogers bold from an Canadian seller a few days ago. Under my tacking information it is displaying a clearance delay. Then:

Reason For Delay:
1. A completeTelecommunications Form is required.
2. Confirmation of currency is required.

Recommended Action:
Shipper or Importer must provide the completed Telecommunications Form.
Shipper or Importer must indicate the currency in which the value of goods is declared on the Commercial Invoice for Customs.

Anyone else run into this when buying their bold from Canada?

I did not. I waited about 6 days from time of order to get it. This does happen and is normal. You need to contact the folks you bought this from and have them send the paper work in, because if not, you wont get your Bold no time soon. Good luck friend! DBB

Thanks for specifying the actual docs my friend. I have been where JBDowd was at one time, but did not know the actual forms by name. Hopefully this will help them take names and kick a$& to get their stuff!

Thanks for the info guys. I emailed and have left a voice message with the seller. I also contacted Fedex international directly to see what was needed and they had contacted the seller as well. So much for the upgrade overnight Fedex shipping.
I have bought a lot of phones and other equipment from the UK and HK over the years and never run into a problem or delay with US customs. Hopefully will be resolved soon.

I got a Rogers Bold via eBay two weeks ago. The seller sent it as a "gift". No clearance, no paperwork, nothing. Just had to pick it up at my local post office. Took less than a week to get here from Ontario to San Francisco.

The commercial export form is what it is called lol. It is a form that documents the sellers name /address...the receipients name / address..what the product is...what it's custom value is..where the product was made...and what the reason for export is.
