Default Help Fatal Error Messay

Please Login to Remove!

OK so I bought my bold on ebay. its a pre-production model but i was told it would work. however, i am not able to update it as i get a fatal error message. i can call and do other things....can i fix this????? please help this sucks

Even if you get past the fatal error message (and it would be helpful if you told us the exact error message) you won't be able to use the device for any data (email, pin, etc.) as the pin is most likely disabled at RIM.

it says "a fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. please try again." man i think i got screwed the guy who sold it to me said it was unlocked and would work on any network......i think its a 500$ paper weight not. if i cant get email its worthless.

If you can use the internet, maybe you can download the gmail app at the very least and you can actually receive and send email from that.... But JC is right, RIM probably disabled the pin. Happened to us as wel....

Wow! You spent $500 on a preproduction model BB Bold?

I doubt you'll be able to update the software on the device. There were so many stolen devices (basically, that's what that is) that Preproduction models have had the pin disabled by RIM. I would contact the seller.
