prob transferring from curve to bold (updated)

got the bold today; ran device switch wizard and experiencing the following issues:

1-not all data transferred -(UPDATE: all of a sudden I was able to restore from desktop mngr all data (don't ask as I have no idea....)

2- 3rd pty apps transferred (per review of applications in options) but can't figure out how to open each app as they aren't appearing on the main screen etc -(UPDATE: found transferred 3rd pty apps in "downloaded files" - why their in there i have no idea)

3- contacts didn't transfer over -(UPDATE: see above)

4- when I try to restore data in BB desktop manager, and use advanced, all of the data on the left side of the window is greyed out, meaning it can't be restored (-(UPDATE: suddenly worked, have no idea why/how, don't ask)

any input/assistance very much appreciated

I had a bunch of issues with the same thing.
Ended up only restoring only my contacts and calender.

Found that after restoring everything my Bold would stutter or slowdown for no reason at all - Third party apps would sometimes act strange or crash.

Ended up wiping the device clean and restoring only contacts and calender.
Installed all third party apps from scratch (note: some third party apps have OS 4.6 versions and run better) and set up all BB settings again from scratch.

Now the Bold is amazing performance wise, i mean it is fast..

Heard about this from another post thread.
