Default Streaming Video and Music

Please Login to Remove!

After fiddling with my computer setup with Windows XP Media Center 2005 and the software from Orb.com for Free, I finally am able to Stream my Live TV Shows, Recorded Shows and even my RIP'ed DVD Videos on my Hard Drive and play them on my Bold with the built-in media player. I no longer have the need for Slingbox or Sony LocationFree player.

I was also able to stream music either from my MP3 music folder, or from the internet. I can stream through the built-in Media player. No need to buy Mobiola xPlayer and the stream is very good.

If you guys are having trouble connecting to ORB, be sure to have WiFi off, for some reason, it won't detect what kind of Blackberry you have and therefore it won't play in 3gp format and it will give you an error. Kind of odd.

Since I have a server running 24 Hours 7 Days a week, I might as well put ORB to a good use by adding a TV Tuner. Works wonderful.

I use orb to stream live tv to my bold. Been doing it for ever. However once sling comes out orb will be for sirus and music streaming only. If you are having problems seeing orb on the bold when you log into the orb page goto settings in there is an option for what look and feel you want. Play around with them one should work woith your phone. Also make sure you have the latest orb installed and it works for a pc. Orb should autodetect your browser and give you the right interface.
