Default Any reason to not buy one on Ebay?

I'm an AT&T customer, not eligible for upgrade. I'm told I don't get the $100 rebate from AT&T, and would need to pay the full retail price: $549.99.

Any reason I should not just buy one off Ebay (ignoring reputable seller...obviously that is a risk) ? If I get one off Ebay would AT&T still warranty the phone since I am a customer?

You should read this:

I appreciate the link - I think I am aware of all of that. I am really looking for the AT&T side of it. Specifically, will AT&T honor the warranty?

IDK, about AT&T... But VZW did not honor the warranty on my used Blackberry 8830, that the original owner only had for a couple of months. I needed a replacement when it was about 4 mouths old...

I think I read from another forum but someone bought a Bold off of ebay and it was a test version of it so it is garbage.

Yes, I understand - again, I'm not concerned about this. Merely curious about the warranty issue. There's no reason for me to buy a phone that has no warranty. I guess I'm looking for terminology from the warranty talking about it becoming void if the phone is sold to another party...

Why don't you ask ATT? I just bought a nearly new Curve off ebay and registered it with Tmob when I put in my SIM. The seller said it was under warranty, was a BES phone he replaced with an iPhone. If the guy bought it 3 months ago I should be warrantied for 9 months. They do it for cars, I think phones should work.
