Default holster pushes spacebar all the time - 11-06-2008, 03:22 PM

Does anyone else have the issue of when they are holstering their device (screen in) that the space bar gets pressed. If you are listening to music it pauses the music or else if on the home screen it brings up my call log. Just curious to know if anyone else has this problem? just a side note that i bought a brand new BB case and it is RIMware its not after market stuff from China, its the real thing from Mexico.

I have found one workaround and that is to place it in slowly to allow the sleeper magnet to work before pushing in the rest of the way.

Nope! AT&T does sell the plastic clip in holster as well! I bought it and love it!

Wirelessly posted (BB 8330)

I don't have any problem like that. I have the BB leather case.

The sleep mag can take a moment to engage and certainly a button may get pressed before then.

I have my left conv. key set to lock. It can be useful in situations like this. Just lock it before holstering it.

Treat your password like your toothbrush. Don't let anybody else use it, and get a new one every six months.

Yeah actually I'm wondering I think I bought a 8800 case for my phone. Dose any one know if there is a real form factor difference from the 8800 to the 9000 like cases for the 8800 would be smaller therefor pushing buttons it shouldn't.
