Default 16gb MicroSD from Amazon - 11-06-2008, 04:58 PM

Anyone tried it? I'm tempted to get one, but I don't know what to do with my 8Gb.

Yeah I was scared to waste the money and have it not work. I bought the 8GB to be safe. They said that 16GB would work, but who knows...

It will work without any issues. Take this for a read. The Bold will support up to a 32GB MicroSD...Even though it hasn't been invented yet. BlackBerry.. Always thinking forward.

I have a 16 GB card on its way to me right now from my local retailer I'll let you know how it works. I should be getting it by end of week next week (Nov 14th) He had to bring it in from the states as well.

I just found out this is class 2 microSDHC Card. Which means its only 2mb/s write speed? That's slow right? I just checked my 8gb and realized it's Class 4. Whenever I snap photos or videos, it would take at least 10 seconds for video to start recording and 3 seconds for camera to save to my card. So I switched to the Built-in 1Gb memory and it is like 100x faster now, no more waiting game.

Class 2 is 2mb/s minimum Read/Write speed and Sandisk came out with one class for now on the 16gb Micro SDHC. It could go as high as 18mb/s Read and 14mb/s Write

Can anyone test the speed on their computer for confirmation? I would use ATTO benchmark.
