What carrier are you using? If you have a T-Mobile U.S. or AT&T SIM Card, you will be roaming in Europe.
If the BlackBerry Internet Service is not showing up, you need to login to your BIS using a computer. I had the same issue when I got my Bold. Just let us know who your carrier is and we can point you in the right direction.
