Default out of office reply/Blackberry maps - 11-06-2008, 07:25 PM

I thought that with AT&T blackberry BIS you have the option to add an out of office reply?

Some of the blackberry sites I've seen said that is only available with corporate BES.

Has anyone tried this?

I also found out that blackberry maps is not available on AT&T. dang!
Does anyone know if this will be available sometime in the future?

To be honest, I have never heard of an "out of office" reply from the BlackBerry itself. You can set it up through Outlook. You may be able to set up a filter through your BIS to accomplish that.

With AT&T, they want you to pay for TeleNav like Verizon does. Thus, no BlackBerry maps. I doubt that will change anytime soon.

On my BES I can go to Messages|Options|E-mail Settings and I can set up an out of office reply and choose whether to use it or not. If I've set up an out of office reply in Outlook I will see that reply when I go to this setting…

You can setup an OOO reply only with a BES account - not with a BIS account. If you have a BES email and a BIS email on your BlackBerry, you can still ONLY set an OOO reply for your BES email.
