Default FAN discounts - 11-06-2008, 08:44 PM

Can a FAN equipment discount be used towards the 2 year contract price of $399 (less $100 rebate)? $399 less 20%=$319.20 less $100 rebate=$219.20. Also have to add sales taxes in there.

I called customer care today and this is what the rep had to say...

"eligible for early upgrade, 20% off equipment and service according to FAN."

She notated it my account and even sent me an email with the above info.

We paid $299 a piece for 10 Bolds using the FAN discount. They kept the 20% discount and applied the $100 rebate instantly.

I ordered mine yesterday from the business website... It was $399 less $200 (instant). Out the "door" price of $232.49 (includes $18 upgrade fee and taxes). I will send in the rebate (did this on my curve too) and the Bold for $132.49. Not bad.

Not bad pricing for both of you.

Unfortunately, neither of my family talk lines are eligible for an upgrade, so I had to call customer care and they gave me andearly upgrade on my wife's line and the best they can do is what I stated above, which is not bad assuming the 20% discount sticks.
