Hello everyone...

Today it was Christmas early. Our tech manager stopped by my desk just as I was on my way out of work and dropped off my new 9000 Bold!!

Whoo Whoo - and to top that off, I have Friday off!!! No complaining here...

I took the device home and then tried to EA wirelessly. (bad sound goes here)

For some reason, mine would not EA wirelessly. No amount of coaxing, begging, battery pulling, security wiping, password resetting, would get the device to recognize the BES and register. I did get the registration email from Rim in the inbox. I reset the password 4 times and could not get a heart beat on this device... I had voice and signal as the helpdesk called me about this time as I got a high severity call on a switch that was giving us grief at work and had to go back in to work and check it out.

So once at work again to check out the issue surrounding the switch error, I tethered the device after I upgraded the DM to 4.6 and got the device to start the process connected to my desktop... I have already setup 3 Bolds wirelessly prior to this so I don't know what the issue was??

It was not the switch I went in to check on as it was not associated with the segment we have our mail servers on. I checked on our two BES servers and they appeared to be humming right along...

So, the EA finally went right through tethered - No complaints but still a mystery??
