Default Anyone else bored by 1, 2, or 3 Vibrate

Is it just me or does RIM not realize the potential of creating different vibration variations. I use to own a Motorola way back and I swear there was 12 different types of vibrations. you could have 3 short vibes in the duration of one vibe. I really wish RIM would look at this as another way of notification. I don't want to bother people around and if I could tell from the vibration what kind of notification it was email, calendar, phone call. With multi vibes within 1 second you could tell ah it's just an email, I can ignore it or hey it's a call. I wish someone 3rd party would create this so you can have those normal vibrations but also add funky ones like short short long, long long long, pulse etc..... anyone else wish this or is this just a personal fantasy????

Unfortunately, even worse for the Bold is that the vibration in the holster is undetectable. (Probably the holster being the problem, but still an issue)

Yea, that is the one thing with this one compared to my 8700 I'm bummed about. I'm using the holster that comes with the unit, and it heavily muzzles the vibe. Hoping a plastic holster will be better. I'm also assuming the thinner case plays a part in the vibe device. I need to fire up the old 8700 and compare them out of any carrier or holster.

And to the original comment, I've used several motorola iden phones that had all kinds of vibe variations. It would be a nice feature..not a "gotta' have" for me, but I'd put it to use.

I wish the vibrate feature on the Bold was like on the old 8700c I use to have. I could carry it in my inside coat pocket and know when I had and incoming message or call. The Bold on the other hand the only way I can tell the vibrate feature is turned on is if it is my hand or sitting on the table. If I carry it in my pocket or its holster forget it all I get is missed calls. When sitting on table or any hard object it is load enough to wake the dead.

I'm looking for a holster that is all plastic, and hoping that will help the vibe feature, even if I have to put it in a skin to use the holster. Looks like there are several options out there. Seems like the case that comes with it deadens it quite a bit.

But yea, so far, the it is night and day between the 8700 and the Bold, and, unfortunately, I depend on the vibe feature a lot.

Thanks..they have some nice stuff.

Also looking something like this..

Blackberry Bold Cases - Case-Mate Signature Series Case/Holster Combo

or

Blackberry Source.com - BlackBerry Bold Carbon Fiber Case/Holster (Black)

they look pretty similar..maybe only slight differences in texture of the cove(and price.....).

Preference is for a slide type of holster, no clip or flap on top.
