I went... was dissapointed they only gave away 6 bold's after I heard about the NYC event... I wasn't one of the few lucky ones. Looks like I'll be waiting for my boss to spring for one...

Same thing happened in Dallas. I have been to many a launch event and never left empty handed...until the Bold launch.

To make it worse, I live in Austin, and drove up to Dallas (410 miles roundtrip) for the event.

Make sure you visit all the "pods" to get your card stamped so you can be in the drawing. In Dallas they drew for 7 of them. I didnt get one, luckily I already had one, but damn. Very disappointing.

They did hand out some Swiss Army leather bags with a leather planner thing inside. Something I will never use. I mean, who needs a planner when you have a BlackBerry??
