Smile little black timer thingy

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I don't know the correct name for that black clock thing that shows up in the middle of the bold screen when waiting for a webpage.
I have that thing on my homescreen and has been there for over a day. It just keeps turning. I have tried pulling battery about 4 times. updated everything using the DM. Cleared my cache and history. Nothing helps.

Nothing knew has been added or removed recently either.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think it means that you have an alarm set up. I have a daily alarm that rings at 0600 and that is what shows up. Check it out and see.

no it isn't an alarm. I know which one you mean. This is the little black square that shows up in the middle of the screen at times.
Thanks though.

That'd be the "hourglass". Admittedly it doesn't look like an hourglass on the Bold themes but that is what it represents.

It is the icon that indicates something is loading. It shouldn't be there for that long of a period. Have you installed anything lately? It could be a program that is still trying to load but never finishes. I would try to reload your OS if the battery pulls don't work.

I remember seeing a document around regarding booting a blackberry on safe mode, not sure if is already available on the bold, but you can take the battery out, and after you put it back in, hold the scape key, any of those to start on safe mode.

Here is the link with the information EXCLUSIVE: Safe Mode Sneaks Into The BlackBerry Bold OS | BlackBerryNews.com

Regards
