A REAL CHALLENGE (i think)
Ok, so I have what I think is a challenge for all of you out there.
I have an unlocked 9000 a friend of mine got in Spain or something like that. In any case, the "Z" and "Y" letters are in the wrong place (the "y" is on the bottom left, and the "z" is where the "y" used to be.)
I would like to fix the typing (obviously I don't wanna move the keys; I just want "z" to be a "y" and vice versa.)
Ideally, i prefer not doing this by search and replace or a built in dictionary. Any ideas?
It's probably from Germany.
It's Qwertz keyboard, instead of a Qwerty.
You can't do anything about it.
Hmmm first time I've heard that expression before. But c'mon, something creative... Help me out here! Do they sell stand alone keyboards?
Maybe others will have suggestions.
There's no creativity involved here. You have a German BlackBerry.
Sell it and buy one with a QWERTY keyboard.
They sell standalone keyboards. But just as everyone has said. It is the frimware built into the device and cannot be changed. You change the upper portion so it will read QWERTY but it will always be a QWERTZ keyboard. My first Bold was a QWERTZ out of Germany. It's only two letters that are different.
