Default Are Bold prices negotiable at ATT Corp Store??

Please Login to Remove!

Was told by Customer Service that although my account is not eligible for upgrade for another month (12/12/08) they have made a "note" on my account. This lets me avail special rates if I were to purchase new phones from an ATT corporate store anytime before the eligible date. Customer loyalty and such...

Just wondering what kind of deals I could see at a corporate store. Is it even realistic to expect them to "price match" competitors like Wirefly or Amazon? Have never purchased anything from a corp store before so not sure how they roll... the other option is to wait patiently for another month

Stores don't usually price match, that's usually something you were able to finagle from Customer Care after threatening to leave..lol. My sister gets deals all the time from CC but has yet to get a store to make the same kinds of deals.

we have in most cases no room on pricing in cor stores

depending on the market you are in that note for eary upgrade will get you the upgrade but also a 75 dollar increase on the upgrade price

Put it this way, everything is negotiable depending on how persistent (obnoxious \ loud \ how high up you go). I felt the price was unfair and I escalated up to the level of the office of the president. I was able to get the pricing I felt was more in line with the device Tho I am a Premier customer with a large account.... but even on personal accounts... if you don't think their offer is fair, call corporate. You pay more than T-Mobile or Verizon or Sprint for wireless service, it's not going to put ATT out of business to help you out with a few bux off a device.

The joke was on me! Not only did they refuse to match the web-price, it appeared like the terms "internet" and "competition" did not make much sense to the reps ar the store

In all fairness I feel bad for these folk. If you expect these stores to make sales then why not let the store managers determine pricing based on the competition... anyway, i am going to wait another month for my true eligibility date and then look for the best deal!

But man every time I hold the Bold in my hand I soooooo much want to get it

Default maybe...

I wanted the bold. just used my wife's upgrade eligibility for the iPhone with T. SOL..until I agreed to add tethering to the plan (+30.)... got the 299 (with rebate price)..spend 6 hours getting it to work, but have the Bold and it's super... just need to figure out how to do music as most of my iTunes are lossless and drm...or ona network..
here's what else they did... I have a built in 3g card in my laptop so they canceled my agreement that had a year left ($60 per month) on the laptop because I transferred the line (this was the compromise they made) which I thought was cool.. so no new line/service (other than the tethering). Got the bold and the laptop still has internet on wireless...
btw. the tethering over bluetooth with the bold screams compared to the built in system... laptop is a dell xps 1330... fwiw.

So I'm paying notheing more (other than buying the bold for 300$) and have more and better service and the BOLD... I'm almost pleased!
