hey I love my bold but I cant transfer any music to it. The desktop manager wont install, pocketmac doesnt work, I transfered via bluetooth and the problem is it fails the transfer unless the file is 2.2mb or under. How do I fix this? This is a at&t bold, please help!!! I got a bunch of airport time coming up and it would be nice to zone out to some music

I have the same problem but I didn't know that it was simply because the file is too big. Let me know if you figure it out.

Do you have a memory card installed? If so, plug in the Bold, and when it the Bold asks if you want to turn on Mass Storage Mode, click "Yes", and the memory card will show up on the mac desktop, and you can drag and drop music/video files into the appropriate locations on the memory card to your heart's content (or until the memory card's full, whichever comes first ).

Hope that helps. Desktop Manager only runs on Windows, and PocketMac has given me nothing but problems. Fortunately, for what you want to do, neither is required.

I have a Bold and also use a Mac. The way I have figured out how to do this was to purchase a MicroSD card (8GB for $17 on Amazon). I too was having trouble mounting the Bold to my Finder on Mac OS so I popped the MicroSD card into my card reader and loaded it up with movies, music and images. It's super fast this way and doesn't require you to use the Bold. I save the 1GB of onboard memory for downloaded pictures (or pictures taken with the Bold's camera), videos, etc. downloaded via the web browser.
