On my 8320 I had it set up so I got the message waiting indicator for my YouMail voicemail, but no text message. On the Bold, I can't seem to make it work the same way. Every time I get a message waiting indicator, right after, I also get a SMS Text telling me I have a voicemail and who it was from. I honestly just want the message waiting indicator, and nothing else.

Anyone else seen this problem?

I am having the same problem. Went to YouMail's My Account section and now you don't have a option to just have the MWI (Mail Waiting Indicator) by itself. You must click SMS Text to get MWI. This just changed this week for me.

Anyone else find a solution around this?

I'm having the same problem. It worked fine with my 8820, but with my Bold, it doesn't work. I'd love to have a solution to this as I use YouMail all the time and without the message waiting indicator, I sometimes forget to return phone calls.

I figured it out. I went to the YouMail website and clicked on 'my account'. If you look under 'my alerts', there is a setting under 'send me a text' for the message waiting indicator. Check that, and it works.

I'm able to check the "Send me a TXT...keep the Voicemail Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) on my phone up to date" option without checking the "Send me a TXT...When I Get A Voicemail", but once I hit "Save Changes" the check box next to "Send me a TXT...keep the Voicemail Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) on my phone up to date" goes away. Are others having the same problem? Anyone know how to get around this? Might just be a YouMail bug?

Signed up with YouMail today and do not see an option under text alerts that refers to MWI. Not a huge deal, would like to have the MWI appear with YouMail if at all possible.

I called Youmail. They explained that AT&T no longer permits sending a signal to the message indicator light. This seems anti-competitive.
