Hey all,

I just got my blackberry bold yesterday and my phone's browser has not been working since. Everytime I put in a web adress and press the enter key it stays on "requesting..." unter the blue bar goes to the end and finally it gives me an error message:

"A Communication failure occurred with the selected Mobile Data Service. THe server may be busy, please try again later."

A tried hard resets, and re-sending my service books via the BIS page from AT&T. The weird thing is that all my other data services work, including MediaNet, and Opera Mini whom both access the web fine, but I need the broser to be able to download items OTA.

Can anyone help me with this?

This sounds like a similar situation to what I had. Some things would work, but others would not (could send out PIN msgs, but not receive). Bad news? Had to replace my Bold on day #1. Call up tech support, they will probably have you erase a lot of the service books and try some things that you can't do without going through them.

Check your APN settings:

If the error states Mobile Data Service, then it is a BES issue.
