I am wondering,

when my bold is connected to wifi, does that enhance the reception of my calls?

also, if i have wifi enabled, but its not connected to a network, or is not being used (im not using the internet at that point in time) is it killing my battery?

No, it doesn't enhance the reception of calls.

Yes, it will use battery power if it's turned on.
