Default WiFi Usage ?

Please Login to Remove!

I got the blackberry bold yesterday and I must say it's pretty sweet. My first blackberry as well. The phone seems to be a little wide but I think I will get used to it and the big screen makes up for it too. anyway, I have AT&T service and you get unlimited data (as far as I know) to use the internet etc. as part of your plan.. So what is the use for the WiFi if I can just connect to the AT&T network? thanks.

If you are in an area covered with WiFi, such as a Starbucks, McDonalds, Home, etc, you surf the web at higher speeds than even 3G. Also, if you have poor cell signal at a covered location, you will still be able to get your emails and surf the web.

My old boss had zero cell signal at home, but he had WiFi, so he could still use his BlackBerry at his house (minus Voice)

I like having it in my office because I can send pictures to myself a lot quicker from the BlackBerry than waiting for it to send over cell network. Im too lazy to connect or use Bluetooth to transfer files

I'm from Belgium and in my BlackBerry internet plan from Mobistar I get 100 MB each month for 18 xxx8364;. Does anyone has an idea how much that is 100 MB? I mean, can I open a lot of websites etc or do I need to be careful? I actually only use internet for my email and facebook, twitter, flickr updates...

And does it automatically changes from phone network to wi-fi or do you have to do that manually?

thanks
