I purchased the BB Bold today. I have a question regarding the Wi-Fi feature. I did not subscribe to AT&T's data service and want to use it only with my wireless router and broadband connection at home. Is this doable? When I try and open the browser it says; You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication. I've configured the BB Bold and it is connected to my router. Suggestions??? Thanks for any input.

the wifi should work even if u did not subscribe to bb plan

Open your browser, go to Options -> General Properties and set the Default Browser to Hotspot Browser (plain old Wi-Fi, no BB data plan required). Close the browser, open it up again (should now be Hotspot Browser) and try again.
