Speaking from the callers end, if i were to call my cell (bb bold). there would be a 20 second delay of dead air with some minor clicking before i (the caller) starts to hear ringing. Other times i (the caller) would call my cell and from (the callers end) there would be dead air completely until i (from the cell phones end) or the voice mail picks up..

(from my blackberry's end) i still get the calls but its only if the caller stays on for those dead 20 seconds before it starts to ring its normal 4 times.

Now i posted this in the Bold section because when i removed my sim card and inserted it into my old bb curve callers are able to call my phone and from their end they are able to hear the ringing within 5 seconds after dialing my number.. (like normal)

also in trying to figure out the issue i took a tmobile sim card from someone i know and inserted it into my BB Bold. When i did a test call everything went through fine. ringing began withing a couple second after dialing the number.

Could there be an incompatibility issue with some ATT sim cards with the bold?
Note: i have an AT&T branded blackberry bold thats been unlocked through AT&T

I'm no expert but I've had this happen before, on a standard telephone, calling peoples cellphones. I think it is just a glitch with the technology sometimes. Unless its happening every time, which I doubt, it just happens. I can call from my phone sometimes, and it may take a few seconds before it rings.

Yesterday a few people told me when they called my phone that it went straight to voice mail. im thinking something is wrong wit my bold. gonna call customer care for an exchange
