Default Is it worth to buy now or wait til all bugs are fixed?

I went into att store today to look at the bold, i really liked it, not much different from curve, except it looks cool, better memory, 3G speed, and some minor stuff. I decided to buy it for the 200 after rebate price. they said i had to pay 750 down due to my credit...

when i left i thought about buying it for 550 without contract. but figured they probably would still want me to put down money.

i dont understand why they want me to pay 750 which is the cost for 2 year, 32*24 equals 768. while i see that the early termination fee is 150 ro 175, i forgot. I would be willing to pay the cost of early termination. because if people buy it with 2 year contract and terminate early they only pay the termniation fee. doesnt make sense. if i paid 750 plus the 200, then i would not be able to termninate. kinda a lock in there.

but anyways im wondering if its better to wait off a few months until the bugs r fixed? My Curve 8320 is sstill great, just camera wont work at all ever.

The Bold has been out now for several months all over the world... only a couple weeks on ATT. It is a pretty solid device, some glitches here and there, but no deal killers that I have seen.

At my work I sell AT&T ,and after comparing the Bold to the Curve I went and bought the Curve anyways.

For one,in my area AT&T's 3G is still kinda iffy. And its Suburban Chicago,so that's a surprise. But at any rate, after comparing the two phones side by side I'm sticking with my Curve.

Not only is 3G a weak point (because if iffy coverage and its drain on battery life) ,but its not so different from the Curve that its worth the $300 retail difference. At least to me.

I'd wait just to avoid getting snakebit when RIM inevitably cuts the price.

This phone is great. Yes it has some issues here and there, but welcome to the world of technology. Have you ever seen a computer or phone or car or TV with out a single issue or glitch that could be fixed. This phone is out selling every other phone in my ATT store, and in 2 weeks I have taken 1 return. That 1 return was because the customer spent to much money and wished to get the curve (poor ****er). 2-2 1/2 weeks and not a single defective return or damaged return. iPhone opening month (Both original and 3g) have about 20-30% of all sold devices returned defective or with some issue. I say your odds are just fine!

I got the standard bold (no software changes) from ATT. works like a dream. I have no 3G and don't care, the screen and keyboard is way better than the curve. Phone feels better too.

I don't have any major issues with my Bold. The one thing that's there that annoys me with OS .185 is the wallpaper resetting whenever you sync (happens to me with Missing Sync, not sure if it's OS or the sync software). Otherwise, it's great.
