Any way to disable BlueTooth by time of day?
Since the BB's started to support Bluetooth I've always wondered and asked RIM sales reps when we'll get the option to have BT configurable by time of day---as a power saving feature.

For example, I would like to disable BT (to save power) when I normally would not need it, e.g. 8pm - 6am.

I guess the idea could extend to other options/features which are known to drain the battery faster like the new WiFi, etc.

Does anyone know if the Bold automatically goes into standby mode after some period of inactivity? The reason I ask is that I know when at home I have WiFi access enabled which could drain power more quickly even when I normally would not be using the Bold for access .... e.g. 8pm-6am.

WIth previous models of the BB I would get into the habit of disabling the BT manually and reenabling when I needed it (when I was in the car primarily).

I guess this line of questioning is under the banner of power saving tips aside form during down the LCD backlight brightness, etc. The things I learned years ago when BB's started coming with color screens.

It's usually the times you indicate, 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM that I have my BB plugged into the charger, so it's really a moot point. Don't you charge your phone at night?

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:43 PM.
